Mumbai : The stock market closed sharply on Thursday. The BSE Sensex, based on the 30-share index of the BSE, climbed 142.09 points (0.40%) to close at 35,898.35. On the other hand, the Sensex-based Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) of 50 companies closed with a surge of 54.40 points (0.51%) at 10,789.85.In the day-to-day trade, the Sensex touched an all-time high of 35,983.07, and touched a low of 35,707.29. While the Nifty touched the upper level of 10,808.85 at the lower level of 10,721.50On the BSE, Tata Motors' stock was up 2.94 per cent, Vedanta limited at 2.78 per cent, Tata Motors DVR 2.74 per cent, ONGC 2.05 per cent and Bajaj Finance saw 2.01 per cent increase. On the other hand, YES Bank's share was 1.33 per cent higher, Infosys 0.91 per cent, Maruti 0.76 per cent, Coal India 0.74 per cent and IndusInd Bank 0.62 per cent.On the NSE, Indiabull Housing Finance's shares rose 6.32 per cent, Bajaj Finserv 3.21 per cent, Tata Motors 3.16 per cent, Dr Reddy 3.12 per cent and Vedanta Limited 2.59 per cent. On the other hand, Infratel's share declined by 1.87 per cent, Yes Bank 1.08 per cent, Infosys 0.90 per cent, NTPC 0.58 per cent and Coal India 0.54 per cent..
