NDMC will set up football academy for children

New Delhi: New Delhi Municipality Council (NDMC) will set up football academy to develop the talent of football in children up to 10 years. In this, skilled trainers will train the children. Last year, NDMC has started a football academy for girls of 10 years in three schools of the Palika Council. Now is the preparation of the Academy for children on the same lines. This information was given by NDMC secretary Rashmi Singh. He was addressing the concluding opportunity of NDMC Inter-departmental Tournament and Sports Competition- 2018-19.In the concluding program organized at the NDMC Convention Center, he also rewarded them by giving shields and certificates to the winners. Over 3500 players participated in the competition. Among them were the students and youth players of NDMC employees and officers. These competitions were held for cricket, hockey, volleyball, football, kabaddi, lost-lost, carrom, races, table tennis and badminton games. Its 815 winners were rewarded with first, second and third prizes, and 26 trophies were also given to 15 men and 11 women teams.Rashmi Singh said that NDMC organizes sports competitions every year for the purpose of promoting the tendency to be healthy and fit in its employees and officers. Such activities should be made compulsory in all institutions so that employees can be linked to a healthy lifestyle.
